Enform H2S Alive (8hrs)

This course covers the necessary precautions for working with H2S on the job site.  It includes H2S properties and detection, and exposure limits.  Also included are initial response strategies and rescue techniques, respiration equipment, and rescue breathing techniques.  Following a written exam, students are awarded a certificate.
This course is intended for petroleum industry workers who work near hydrogen sulphide.
St. Johns First Aid Standard CPR A (2 days)

Emergency help given to treat ill or injured people using readily available materials.  We will cover CPR, Artificial Respiration, Breaks, Medical Illnesses, Eye Injuries, Burns, etc.  This course will give you the basic knowledge and skills to assist someone in an emergency.

Global Ground Disturbance I & II (1day)

This course is for anyone  planning any kind of ground disturbance. We go over things like permits needed, locating underground lines, regulations, and environmental impact.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (4hrs)

This 4-hour course is designed to give participants the required knowledge of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods 'Clear Language' Regulations. Courses are based on the employee’s job function and classes of DGs handled.

WHMIS (4hrs)

This training is an introduction to hazardous materials, classification and symbols, labeling, and how to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).  It also goes into the toxicological properties, health hazards and effects, and responsibilities. Certification of attendance is handed out.

Confined Space I & II (1day)

This course focuses on  identifying confined space issues.  We go over confined space entry, the hazards, procedures to follow, and what to do in an emergency.  We also go into recognizing potential hazards and prevention of emergency situations.  This is followed by a hands-on simulated excercise.

Fall Arrest (4 hours)

Fall and arrest safety training is a 4-hour course that trains workers when to wear protective equipment and how to use it. This course will assist employees in properly hooking up a safety harness and when to use it, connection to anchor points, the physics involved, as well the responsibilities of the employer, supervisor and worker.

Fire Extinguisher Training (4hrs)

This  course  reviews the different fire extinguishers available and which to choose for different locations.  It also goes into the proper use and maintenance requirements of this equipment


Quad Safety Training
(8hrs)

Quad Safety Training Course is a one-day program designed to train the operator in the safe and efficient use of an all terrain vehicle. The course includes both classroom and practical training, with the greatest emphasis on operational skills such as Safe riding practices and strategies, Quick stops and swerving, Pre-ride inspections, Riding over obstacles, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Traversing, Turning basics, sharp turns, quick turns, etc. Please call for group pricing.

Defensive Driving (8hrs)

Defensive Driving is a one-day program designed to train the operator in safe driving techniques. The course includes many different strategies to ensure the safety of the driver and those around them. It is very important to utilize defensive driving techniques to keep you, your cargo, and your family safe on the road.

GODI - General Oilfield Driver Improvement 

- Intended for oilfield truck drivers operating vehicles with GVW of 5500 kilograms and over.
- Defensive driving shills w/ prof. driving attitude
- Regulations / policies / National Safety Code requirement
- Proper vehicle inspection
- Proper security of loads

Bear Aware

Focus on types of bears in Alberta, causes of human-bear encounters, prevention of human-bear contact, what to do in bear encounter and use of bear deterrents.

Hours of Service / Log Book Training

- Covers national & provincial legislation regarding hours of services for commercial drivers.
- How to create accurate logbooks that meet regulations.
